Carol R. Williams, 67, loving wife, mother and grandmother, lost her battle to cancer on June 23, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center. She was born to Albin and Ruth Hiltunen on Dec. 26, 1943, in Butte, Mont., where she lived and raised her seven children until she moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1982.

In 1984 she married her best friend and loving husband, Cecil Williams. After Cecil retired from Potlatch they spent many winters in Arizona as snowbirds.

Some of her favorite times and memories were spent in Arizona with Cecil where they owned and operated C & C Pizza. They returned to Coeur d'Alene to retire and be closer to their children and grandchildren. Carol loved her camping trips up the St. Joe River where she was able to feed and watch her hummingbirds.

Anyone who knew Carol knew her laugh as she could always make us laugh. She will be loved and missed by all of us. Carol is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jeanne Utezy. Carol is survived by her husband, Cecil; sons, Bill (Rhonda) Schelin, Rathdrum, Curt (Carla) Schelin, Rathdrum, Butch Schelin, Hayden, Paul (Rhonda) Williams, Dalton; daughters, Deona (Clint) Hunter, Hayden, Nancy (Mike) Wade, Missouri, Leah (Jesse) Hiebert, Rathdrum, Lania Parker, Rathdrum, Linda (Bruce) Wells, Wyoming; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Andrea, Cheryl and Ruth Ann; numerous nieces and nephews.
