Knife-wielding man taken home

Kalispell Police Department officers responded to a report of a man brandishing a knife at a business on North Meridian Road at 11:14 p.m. Saturday.
The man with the knife refused to leave the parking lot of the business after an employee made that request.
Officers took a pen knife from the man and took him home.
Officers spoke to a man and a woman who were reportedly involved in an assault at 12:17 a.m. Sunday.
Police responded to a Kalispell motel at 3:21 a.m. Sunday after it was reported that two drunk people were near the front door and one threatened to kill someone. Also, someone sprayed pepper spray into a room at the motel because they thought the room's occupants were being too loud.
Residents near the intersection of 10th Avenue West and Fourth Street West cleaned up a downed tree that fell and was blocking traffic Saturday evening. No one was injured and no property damage occurred.
Officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance at 5:07 p.m. Saturday on Jackson Peak Drive. A parent reported a teenager was proving to be unruly. Both parties were counseled by officers.
A report of someone shooting off fireworks near the intersection of Second Avenue East North and East California Street was made at 10:02 p.m. Saturday.
More fireworks were reported at 11:49 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Second Avenue West and Fifth Street West.
Sunglasses and a GPS were stolen from a car on Moes Run Sunday morning.
A wallet was reportedly stolen sometime Saturday night from a car parked on Condor Drive.
Loud music was reported coming from a garage on First Street West at 11:15 a.m. Sunday. The person agreed to turn the music down.
Reports of shots fired sent Whitefish Police Department officers out twice Saturday morning. A 3:41 a.m. report came from Lupfer Avenue and another report was made at 11:29 a.m. on Spokane Avenue.
Officers were also called to a fight at 2:32 p.m. on Central Avenue.
Parties were counseled by Flathead County Sheriff's Office deputies after a 1:04 a.m. Sunday report of noise on Cedar Drive in Kalispell.
Another noise report was resolved at 12:55 a.m. on Midway Drive in Columbia Falls.
Deputies responded to a 2:15 a.m. Sunday report of a reckless driver on Fairway Drive in Whitefish and another report of a reckless driver at 12:38 a.m. on First Avenue South in Martin City.
