Chris Weddle, 71, of Nampa/Cascade, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, in Cascade. Chris was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Riggins.
In 1940 he moved to Coeur d’Alene with his mother, Elizabeth Weddle, and two brothers. He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1958. He married Nadine White, of Coeur d’Alene, on Dec. 17, 1960.
He attended North Idaho College for two years then the University of Idaho, where he graduated with a mechanical engineering degree in 1963. After graduation, he went to work for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, Conn., then INEL in Arco and Bunker Hill Mining Company in Kellogg. From there he moved to Boise in 1974 where he retired from the Washington Group, formerly MK, in 2002.
He was a member of the Good Sam Club in Cascade, the Lions Club in Pinehurst, the Barc’s Club and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Weddle; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Shirley Weddle; son and daughter-in-law, David and Suzanne Weddle; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Laura Weddle; son Dale Weddle; his grandchildren, Chelsey, Nicholas, Christopher, Nathan and Alana Weddle.
Memorial services were held Friday, June 24, 2011, at Summers Funeral Home in Meridian. Inurnment took place at the Cloverdale Memorial Park under the direction of the Heikkila Funeral Chapel.
