Peralta's triple leads Tigers over Jays

Jhonny Peralta hit a tiebreaking triple in the eighth inning and Victor Martinez drove in two runs, leading the host Detroit Tigers past the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2 on Monday night.

• NATIONAL LEAGUE

Cubs 7, Rockies 3: Carlos Pena and Aramis Ramirez each homered twice to lead host Chicago over Colorado.

• INTERLEAGUE

Reds 5, Rays 0: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Jonny Gomes hit a towering homer, Mike Leake pitched six strong innings and Cincinnati beat Tampa Bay.

Dodgers 15, Twins 0: At Minneapolis, Matt Kemp had four hits, including his NL-leading 22nd home run, and Los Angeles routed skidding Minnesota.

Indians 5, Diamondbacks 4: At Phoenix, Orlando Cabrera homered in the ninth to lift Cleveland over Arizona.

Padres 4, Royals 3: Ryan Ludwick hit a two-run homer, Mat Latos won for the first time in four starts and host San Diego beat Kansas City.

Angels 4, Nationals 3, 10 inn.: At Anaheim, Calif., Maicer Izturis hit a bases-loaded single in the 10th and Los Angeles spoiled Davey Johnson's debut as Washington manager.
