Action packed weekend wraps at Raceway

EPHRATA - Racing at Ephrata Raceway Park was the Ephrata Pioneer Muffler II Pure Stocks, Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks, the Super Stocks and 360 Sprints racing for the leads in anticipation for the upcoming Mid Season Championships.

In the Ephrata Pioneer Muffler II Pure Stocks, Jacob McGraw led for seven laps in the 15 lap main when in the 10th lap Colton Fisher took over and led for the remaining eight laps to win his third main event of the season. Jacob McGraw followed in second with Jeremy Larsen in third.

In the Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks Eddie Razey took the lead for the first eight laps when on the 9th lap Jeremy Razey took the lead, battling with Sid White for 18 laps of the 30 lap main event. Razey held the lead to take the win with Sid White in second, with JR Miner in third.

The 360 Sprints was a 20 lap main with 17 year old Jatender Veenstra holding the lead until a caution on the ninth lap. The 86 car driven by Whitney Nolan took over the top spot and won the main event with Joe Smith second and Veenstra coming third.

In the Super Stocks Bart Hector, Jr. sweeps the night with fast time, trophy dash, heat race and main event. Dave Macken in second with Terry Osborn third.

Coming up Saturday, Mr. Dizzy returns to Ephrata Raceway Park to make an explosive night with mid season championships for Kim Janke State Farm Agent Youth Hornets, Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks and Jerrys Auto Supply Big Cars. All followed by the grand finale, the Fireworks in recognition of the 4th of July holiday.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m.
