NVH earns Best Overall award - again

North Valley Hospital has once again
been recognized for its care of patients.
For the third year in a row, NVH has
received the Overall Best Performance award. The award honors
hospitals that demonstrate consistency of highly-rated experiences
by patients throughout the organization.
The award is based on the results of
the hospital’s 2010 patient surveys. The hospital uses Avatar
International patient satisfaction system to obtain detailed
information about the care of patients. The company recognizes its
top performing hospitals.
“The ongoing commitment to
patient-centered care through the teamwork of our staff is what
drives the many accolades that North Valley Hospital continues to
earn,” said Jason Spring, North Valley Hospital CEO. “We work very
hard to make our patients’ visits as safe and comfortable as
possible for both their physical and mental well-being and it’s
nice to know our patients recognize this.”
The Overall Best award is given
hospitals with the highest overall combined score for inpatient,
outpatient, emergency department and ambulatory surgery.
In addition to the Overall Best award,
NVH earned the Exceeding Patient Expectations Award for the eighth
consecutive year.
The patient survey acts like the
hospital’s report card with respect to how well it’s doing while
identifying opportunities for improvement. The hospital evaluation
measures patient expectations, processes and outcomes for the
department where patients were admitted.
Comments assist in efforts to improve
the hospital’s care.
