Kroc Center receives $10,000 from World Ironman Corporation

COEUR d'ALENE - The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center recently received a $10,000 donation from the World Ironman Corporation, Ironman Foundation.
A check for the donation was presented by Ironman Foundation director, Dave Deschenes to Maj. John Chamness, executive director of the Kroc Community Center during the 2011 Coeur d'Alene Ironman Welcome Banquet.
The Ironman Foundation is the charitable arm of the World Ironman Corporation. The donation was given to support the Kroc Community Center and the programs and services that the center provides for the Inland Northwest region. Funds will also provide membership and program scholarships for individuals and families.
Kroc Center summer programs for youths include adventure camps, swimming and rock climbing. There are activities offered year-round for community members of all ages.
The Kroc Community Center and the Kroc Scholarship Fund are supported by membership and program fees, the Ray and Joan Kroc endowment fund and through the support and sponsorship of individuals, corporations and foundations such as the Ironman Foundation.
