Head coach: Sammy Rocha (Sixth year)

2010 overall record: 9-0

2010 league record: 9-0

2010 postseason: District champions, 12th place at Class 2A state finals.

Number of returnees: Three

ROSTER: SENIORS - Jared Kummer and  Sam Para; JUNIOR - Tyler Evens; SOPHOMORES - Lucas Garza and Trevor Salsbury; FRESHMAN - Colton Hall

OUTLOOK: Both Para and Kummer finished in a tie for 21st place at last year's Class 2A finals to help the team to a 12th place finish.

That isn't a bad building block for Rocha who could once again have a strong team which could challenge for another Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) title.

"I thought we were going to be down this year because we lost a key senior, Dylan Jahns," Rocha said. "However after watching practice this past week, we have some freshman who have a lot of experience playing golf and are athletic and competitive enough to challenge for a third straight league title."

Para and Kummer have both made the state finals three years running and Salsbury, the team's other varsity veteran has shot in the 80s consistently and could be surprise this season according to Rocha.

Evens' experience, and the new talent of Garza and Hall could lend some more potential to the Othello lineup.

"We'll compete every day in practice and work on our short game," Rocha said. "But our season and our future look promising thanks to this young group who loves to be on the golf course."
