Alan Dale | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 14 years, 9 months AGO
Head coach: Steve Tolley (25th year)
2010 overall record: 12-2
2010 league record: 6-2
2010 postseason: District champions, four state individual qualifiers
Number of returnees: Six
ROSTER: SENIORS -Kenny Sullivan and Brandon Wurzer; JUNIORS - Trent Bates, Caleb Caballero, and Conrad Ruge; SOPHOMORE - Mason Henkins.
OUTLOOK: When one coaches 25 years he or she should know a thing or two about the sport they are involved.
Warden's Steve Tolley definitely has that in spades this season and when he looks at a roster returning six varsity veterans he may be able to add a lot more success to his resume.
Especially when three of those six returnees have Class 1A state tournament experience as they move to the 2B ranks.
"This year's team will do very well if they continue to work hard and improve," Tolley said. "We have a solid team that has high expectations about doing well in our new league. We have 14 boys turning out this year and that always makes it good for competition among the team members for the varsity spots."
Despite returning state participants Wurzer, Bates, and Caballero, Tolley doesn't disount the possibility of seeing a youngster or two sneak up and contributing at certain points of the season.
As they take on new rivals Riverside Christian, Moses Lake Christian Academy, and other new rivals, Tolley hopes to use his team's home course advantage to earn key wins.
