Vikings advance to semifinals

The Bigfork Vikings earned a 60-52 victory in their first-round matchup against Huntley Project on Thursday night at the State Class B Boys Basketball Tournament at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls.
Bigfork had chalked up a 33-15 lead by halftime, but let it slip to a four-point lead by the close of the third quarter in which Huntley Project outscored the Vikes 19-6. Bigfork rallied in the final frame, outdoing its opponent 21-18.
Senior Christian Ker led Bigfork with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Junior Ian Lorang backed him up with 15 points and sophomore Colter Trent chipped in 10.
Bigfork will play a semifinals game against Wolf Point tonight at 8 p.m. Wolf Point beat out Whitehall 60-53 in the game proceeding Bigfork's victory last night.
