Kramer to ski in Junior Olympics

Whitefish Mountain Resort alpine race
team member Nevada Kramer has been selected to compete in the
Western Region Junior Olympics in Squaw Valley, Calif., on March
17-20.
Kramer is one of seven boys and 10
girls from the Northern Division to compete at Squaw. The Junior
Olympics is for the top skiers in the 13- to 14-year-old age group.
Kramer will be competing in all three
events, including super G, giant slalom and slalom. He is currently
leading the Northern Division for his age group in world cup points
for the Jim Barrier Gold Cup award.
Also from the race team, Madeline
Williams is leading in world cup points for women in the 17- to
19-year-old class.
Kramer is in the tace team’s academy
program, where he receives early release from Whitefish High School
on Wednesdays and Thursdays for training along with many missed
days for travel throughout the region to compete in multiday
events. The Whitefish High School freshman maintains a 4.0 GPA.
