GREAT FALLS - Wrestling season isn't over quite yet.

Members of the Ronan wrestling team made the trip to Great Falls AAU Freestyle tournament last weekend and three placed in the stacked tournament. The tournament saw kids from all age levels, but the high school level was perhaps the most competitive.

"There were teams from all over the state," Ronan assistant coach Brendon DeCock said. "The caliber was high for the high school level."

Wrestling at the Great Falls High School Fieldhouse, senior Cole McArthur took second at 171 pounds, sophomore Andrew Teigen placed fourth at 135 pounds, and sophomore Shelby Grant was fifth at 160 pounds.

Since this is out of season, these wrestlers workout on their own while also helping out with the middle school wrestling program.

Overall Ronan took six wrestlers to the AAU Freestyle tournament. Kellen Couture, Brandon Dumont and Chase Rhine also competed in the event.

Ronan wrestlers may compete in the upcoming Montana Open tournament as well.

You’ll have to excuse me for stating the obvious, I’m assuming everyone in Polson already knows this but Neal Lewing is one heck of an actor. I was first able to see the Port Polson player as Judge Turpin in the production of Sweeney Todd last November.
