A 1954 Willys Jeep Station Wagon, that was being stored at a man's Coeur d'Alene property, was reportedly stolen during the weekend.
The green Jeep, which did not run and wasn't licensed, was being stored at the back of his property at 1013 Hill Drive. The owner bought the Jeep, which he said had a current value of $600, to restore it.
The vehicle was apparently stolen between 7 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday, according to a police report.
The owner said the theft of the Jeep left rubber skid marks where the vehicle was towed out onto the road.
He said it has an older Ford flathead V-8 engine, and has a tow bar attached to the front bumper.
It also has custom chrome wheels.
Police reported they could see where the vehicle was towed onto Hill Drive toward French Gulch Road.
Police said there was no obvious evidence at the scene to aid investigators in determining who took the Jeep, according to the report.
