ROYAL CITY - Royal's Lady Knights rolled to their first two wins of the season behind a rousing rout of LaSalle at home on Saturday.

The Lady Knights (2-1) crushed LaSalle 18-1 and 19-4.

"Their pitchers were not up to varsity level and out girls were able to connect with the ball," Royal head coach Pete Christensen said. "We had a lot of opportunities to work on our running game and situations with runners on the bags nearly every inning."

In the first game Royal  had 22 hits, with Lindsey Christensen going 4-for-4, and Stefhany Guadarrama, Shanna Seely, and Terin Gonzales all went 3-for-3.

Every starter in that game got at least one hit.

Lindsey Christensen recorded three doubles.

Royal batters were walked 12 times in the second game while Seely and Maria Garcia all went 3-for-3. Seely knocked out a single, a double, and a triple.

"Regardless of the scores they are lifting each other up and giving one another the support and encouragement we need," Pete Christensen said.
