EPHRATA - The Grant County Sheriff's Office is seeking Timothy W. Hampton, 36, Moses Lake, in connection with a theft and stolen property.

Hampton is six feet tall, weighs about 215 lbs, and has blue eyes and long brown hair, according to the sheriff's office. Hampton has a tattoo of a skull on his right arm.

Anyone, with information about where Hampton is located, is asked to call the sheriff's office at 509-762-1160.

Deputy Nic Dirks responded Wednesday to a report of the theft of a commercial-grade turf mower stolen from Desert Green Turf Farms, located near Moses Lake, according to Sheriff Tom Jones.

Dirks and company staff reportedly followed tire tracks, leading form where the mower was last seen, for five miles to a building on Dune Lake Loop Southeast, Jones stated.

With a search warrant and agreement from the building owner, the deputy searched and found the stolen turf mower and several other stolen items, the sheriff stated.

"Deputies believe the mower, valued at $2,000, was being taken apart to sell to a recycler," Jones stated.

Investigators found two stolen ATVs, registered in Idaho, and stolen irrigation equipment.

"Each day I read the field reports from our deputies, I am reminded about how great Grant County citizens are," Jones stated. "This incident is testament to that fact, and I encourage the public to keep sending us information so we can continue solving these crimes."
