MOSES LAKE - Michael J. Montejano is sought by the Moses Lake police in connection with a shooting Saturday night.

Montejano is a 20-year-old Hispanic male, who stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, according to Capt. Dave Ruffin.

"He should be considered armed and dangerous," Ruffin stated.

If anyone sees Montejano or knows where he is, police ask them to call 509-764-3887.

Officers were dispatched to South Division Street at 11:40 p.m. for a report of shots being fired.

Police were unable to locate a victim.

While on South Division Street, the officers were summoned to Samaritan Hospital where three people were being treated for minor wounds from shotgun pellets, stated Ruffin.

The victims are a 20-year-old Hispanic man, a 17-year-old white female and a 16-year-old Hispanic male, according to police.

A group of people came to a house and had a dispute with another group. The suspect allegedly was in the residence and fired several rounds from a shotgun at the group outside.

"It may have been (gangs). We're still looking into it," said police Chief Dean Mitchell.

The shooting is under investigation.
