ELLENSBURG - Ellensburg proved to be to tough a host for the Ephrata Tigers on Tuesday night in Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) play.

A six-run explosion over two middle innings was enough for the Bulldogs to cruise to an 8-3 win.

Tanner Williams started for the Tigers but was knocked out during Ellensburg's four-run third inning.

Ephrata (1-4, 0-3). which scored a run in each of the first, fourth, and sixth innings, were led by Grant Kallstrom's 3-for-3 day, Marco Salas' 2-for-3 ledger, and Bryce Beavers' 2-for-4 performances.

All of the boy's hits were singles.

Zach Kallstrom, Beavers, and Williams all recorded an RBI for the Tigers.

"Our pitching and defense are not where I would like them to be," Ephrata head coach Jason Laughen said. "It is still early, but we need to start playing with more confidence.."
