MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake's Alexys Nycole Sanchez, 7, was nominated in a category of MTV's Movie Awards for her appearance in "Grown Ups."

The Knolls Vista Elementary School second-grader was cast as the daughter of Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek in the movie, which was made two years ago, said Alexys' mom, Kyleigh Sanchez. Alexys' father is Michael Sanchez.

Her famous line was "I want to get chocolate wasted," uttered while imitating an adult actor in the movie.

"We're all so proud of her," Kyleigh said. "Congratulations to Alexys."

Kyleigh called the nomination "just a huge deal" as her daughter's only been seen in one movie.

"It's crazy," Kyleigh said. "She doesn't understand how big it is."

Kyleigh said she thinks it is amazing she was nominated.

Other nominees include many adult actors, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Timberlake, Mark Wahlberg, Liam Neeson, Will Ferrell and Jackie Chan.
