The Flathead Perfor-mance Youth

Foundation, in association with Northwest Orthopedics and Sports

Medicine, will hold their second annual 24 Hours of Hockey

fundraiser at the Stumptown Ice Den on April 9-10.

The event will include a boys

tournament featuring some of the best 10-11 year old players in the

region.

A local team made of players from

throughout Montana and surrounding states and provinces and two

teams from Canada will participate.

A 7-hour marathon game will take place

with players from local adult leagues from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The

rink will be open for public skating from 7 to 9:30 p.m. A silent

auction will take place over the weekend.

Last year, funds raised at the event

were used to purchase automated external defibrillators (AEDs)

which were donated to Whitefish, Glacier and Flathead high schools

for use by athletic trainers and to Whitefish Parks and Recreation

Department for use at City Beach and the Stumptown Ice Den.
