MOSES LAKE - Three women vying for the title of Miss Moses Lake Roundup 2011 braved the chill Saturday.

Brielle Noah, of Soap Lake, won the titled and awards for photogenics, horsemanship, personality, appearance, and sales achievement.

Noah said she decided to run after being invited by Miss Moses Lake Roundup 2010 Catrina Langley.

"I ran for the same title four years ago and was the runner-up," Noah said.

She said her every turn around the Moses Lake Roundup Rodeo arena since, as a sponsor flag-bearer, has been tinged with regret.

"I've felt a longing," Noah said. "I wasn't too sure I wanted it at first, but it's amazing."

Jill Tonne, contest organizer, said the competition between Noah, Tami Deines, and Riley Bundy was tough.

"All three of the girls did a really good job," Tonne said. "They all did amazing and it was a really close contest."

Noah's first appearance as Miss Moses Lake Roundup 2011 will be at the Coulee City Last Stand Rodeo queen contest April 9. She will head back to Coulee City for her first rodeo appearance Memorial Day weekend.

Noah said she is looking forward to participating in as many rodeos as she can this season.

"Besides Moses Lake and carrying the American flag with Catrina, I've always wanted to go to the Pendleton Roundup."

Noah will spend the season on her 8-year-old horse, Smoky Joe, a mount she has trained from the ground up.

"All of my horses, except my first horse, I have trained myself," Noah said.

The public speaking portion of the contest was difficult for Noah and she said it was a fear she had to conquer.

During her reign, Noah is hoping to introduce school children to the world of rodeo with visits.

"It's been my dream to go to schools and do dummy roping and maybe get some stick horses," Noah said.

She is working on a game plan to achieve that goal as the year progresses.

Noah will hold the title of Miss Moses Lake Roundup until Dec. 31.
