GRANDVIEW - With two big wins at Grandview on Saturday, the Ephrata Tigers clinched the Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) sixth district playoff seed thanks to the Quincy Jacks losing two games at Selah.

On the CWAC's final regular season day, Ephrata rolled to  6-4 and 13-3 wins as they moved to 8-10 and will now play third-place Othello (14-4) who swept East Valley 8-7 and 13-3 on Saturday.

"The boys played good defense and we got strong pitching from Josh Snider, Chandler Gribble, and Tyler Clark," Ephrata head coach Jason Laughen said.

Snider pitched a complete game in the game one win, as he struck out 16 to help the team overcome nine errors.

Marco Salas, Dusty Baughmann and Erik Scheib each had two hits.

In the nightcap, Gribble pitched the first three innings while Clark cleaned up over the final two innings in the mercy rule win.

Ephrata only had five hits but six Grandview errors helped the Tigers to the playoff-clinching win.
