Leon F. "Lee" Benham, 72, of Coeur d'Alene, passed away May 3, 2011, in Coeur d'Alene. He was born Feb. 1, 1939, in Lacross, Ind., to Lawton and Mary Jane Benham.
In July 2000, Lee married Shirley Baskett in Coeur d'Alene. He worked as an upholsterer. His hobbies were bowling, fishing, hunting, woodworking, restoring Casper, finish work and details. He was a "Jack of all Trades" and used the phrase "Git r done!" often.
Lee is survived by his wife, Shirley Benham; sons, John Baskett, Clint Baskett, Tim Morris Sorrell, Lou Benham and Gerry Benham; daughters, Terri Fickle, Tina Behham, Kristi Benham-Hankel and LeAyn Wolfe; brothers, Melvin Benham, Lonnie Benham, Leroy Benham and Curtis Benham; sisters, Kathy Sanders and Hazel Smith; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawton; mother Mary and brothers, Harry, Van and Harold.
