Mary Ann Palmer, 47, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011, in her home in Dalton Gardens. She was born Aug. 30, 1963, in Spokane. She is the daughter of Ronald and Margaret Eggart of Kellogg (more recently Coeur d'Alene).
Mary Ann grew up in Kellogg and graduated from Kellogg High School, and later earned her associate's degree from North Idaho College. On March 14, 1987, she married Todd Palmer of Coeur d'Alene, and then worked as a secretary and homemaker. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and holiday parties in her home. Mary Ann accompanied her husband Todd in many fishing tournaments and in 1991 won 1st place in the Big One Derby on Lake Coeur d'Alene with a 29-pound 8-ounce Chinook Salmon. Mary Ann was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners and the Gonzaga Bulldogs and faithfully attended all her son's sporting events and activities. She attended the Friends Church and Bible study.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Todd and sons, Matt and Darin of Dalton Gardens; parents Ronald and Margaret Eggart of Kellogg; brother Gary Eggart and sister-in-law Cathi of Amherst, Texas; brother Dan Eggart of Kellogg; sister Carol and brother-in-law Glen Knopp of Moses Lake, Wash.; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
