POLSON - Shalaina Duford batted 6-for-7 on the day with three triples and a two-run home run as the Polson softball team picked up two 10-run rule victories on Saturday.

The Pirates (10-4, 5-0) defeated Hamilton 15-4 and Corvallis 13-1 at the Polson Softball Complex.

Duford also picked up both wins in the circle.

Against Hamilton "our speeders Kodi Woods and Ashley Johnson were on base a lot," said Polson coach Larry Smith.

"Really aggressive baserunning," he said. Woods stole four bases and Johnson two.

"Shalaina had a great game. She always had somebody on in front of her," he added.

The story was the same against Corvallis - Woods and Johnson on base and Duford batting them home.
