Sandra Rae Prety passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 7, 2011, following a long battle with cancer.

Sandi was born May 24, 1952, in Deadwood, S.D. She was the oldest of six children born to Julie and Don Roadifer. She graduated from Richland High School in Richland, Wash., in 1970. After graduation she went on to beauty school and spent a number of years in that profession. She married her "best friend" Paul Prety Jr. on July 12, 1981.

She is survived by her husband, Paul at home in Rathdrum; her daughter, Janet and Matt Alverson of Post Falls; her son, Paul and Ranita Prety of Rathdrum; her daughter, Jamie and Gary Francis of Rathdrum; her parents, Don and Julie Roadifer of Spokane; brother Bill and Betty Roadifer of Spokane; brother Dave and Gayle Roadifer of Hayden Lake; sister Judy Roadifer of Spokane; brother Randy and Marsha of Anchorage, Alaska; five loving grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Roadifer.

She worked various jobs including the CDA Woolworths, Duncan Gardens, Kmart and Post Falls and Lakeland School districts. She was a room-mom for all of her children, a child-care provider, a crafty lady and participant and volunteer at many craft shows and events. But most of all she was a domestic engineer and loving mom and grandma.

She is to be cremated at English Funeral Chapel and services to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Real Life Ministries (RLM2) in Post Falls.

Any donations may be made in her name to Real Life Ministries, 1866 North Cecil Road, Post Falls, ID 83854, of which she was a member these last eight years and cared for her soul. Or to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 Government Way Hayden, ID 83835, who took such good care of her body in its passing.
