Carol Ann Harmon, 75
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 14 years, 7 months AGO
Carol Ann Harmon, on May 9, 2011, the Lord eased mom's pain after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 75. Carol was born March 24, 1936, in South Gate, Calif., to Robert E. and Elanore (Austin) Lee.
She was an eternal optimist who was an incredibly strong, caring and loving lady. She loved being with and doing things with family and friends. She was always quick with a smile and hug and never knew a stranger. She also loved baking (for anybody), crocheting and dancing.
Her biggest enjoyment in life however was watching and supporting her kids and grandkids in the sports of their choosing. She was always yelling the loudest with encouragement and support. Her voice may be silenced but her presence will always be there. She had a zest for life that attracted people, young and old, to her like a magnet. She was mom and sister to some but grandma to so many more.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Bob Harmon; her mother, Elanore Puente; father Robert E. Lee and sister Ardith Fox.
Carol is survived by her brother, Robert E. Lee Jr. of California; son Butch Moore of Arizona; daughter Susan Minges of Idaho; son Shane Harmon of Idaho; Terry Johnson and Rod Harmon of California. She also has 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May l3, 2011, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. She will be laid to rest next to the love of her life at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens after the service.
