Henkle promoted at bankcda
Max Faller, president and CEO of bankcda, recently announced that Sam Henkle was named Branch Manager for the company's Hayden office. Henkle will supervise the continued growth of the Hayden branch, which opened in October 2004.
Henkle has been with bankcda since 2008 and brings a broad spectrum of experience to his new role, Faller said. Henkle served bankcda as Director of Business Development and Marketing for two years before being named a loan officer. "Sam's past positions with bankcda will be a great asset to the Hayden branch," Faller said. "Customers will certainly appreciate the convenience of interacting with someone well-versed in lending as well as the retail aspects of banking."
The $82 million asset bankcda is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Tuesday. Both the Hayden branch at 200 West Honeysuckle and the Coeur d'Alene branch at 912 Northwest Blvd. as well as a courier service serve the commercial and individual banking needs of the area.
"Because we, ourselves, are a small organization, we understand the needs of small-business owners," Faller said.
Assets of the independent community bank have grown from $16.3 million after its first 10 months in business to year-to-date average assets of $82 million.
Dutch Bros. donates to MDA
Dutch Bros. Coffee stores donated more than $137,000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association following its annual companywide fundraiser, MDA Day.
Held April 29, Dutch Bros. hosts MDA Day annually in honor of company co-founder, Dane Boersma, who was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2005 and passed away in late 2009. Dutch Bros. donated $110,000 to the cause in 2010.
"We are so thankful for the contributions of our amazing customers and their support of a cause that means so much to all of us at Dutch Bros.," said company co-founder and Dane's younger brother, Travis Boersma.
In addition to MDA Day, Dutch Bros. Coffee reinvests 1 percent of its annual gross sales back into its local communities, and in 2010, the company donated more than $1 million to nonprofit organizations including local food banks, American Cancer Society and Boys & Girls Clubs of America and many other organizations.
