Elek hits slam in Twins sweep

WHITEFISH - Cody Elek and the Glacier Twins are swinging the bats as well as ever.

Elek hit a grand slam in the second game of a doubleheader against Belgrade and the AA Twins came away with two wins on Saturday, 12-9 and 15-10.

The Twins (7-5) have won six the last seven.

"Offensively we've been swinging the bats pretty good lately," head coach Lindsay Fansler said.

The Twins had three homers on the day and 20 hits. Kyler Blades had a homer to start a 4-run inning in the opener for Glacier. Jack Cronin added a 3-run homer in the fourth to take the lead for good.

Glacier continues today against Helena, hosting a doubleheader starting at noon.

Wood Bat Tourney

LIBBY - The Loggers' bats went cold as the Rocky Mountain Bandits cruised to a 9-1 victory at the annual Wood Bat Tournament on Saturday.

Micah Germany had the lone RBI for the Loggers (3-6).

The Glacier Twins A had a similar fate in Polson as Mission Valley came away with two victories - 12-7 and 7-6.
