COEUR d'ALENE - Donny Fields and Josh Adams want to help you keep the dirt out of your home.
The brothers on Monday opened "The Vac Shack" at 1301 Sherman Ave. They sell new and used vacuums, and offer a repair service, too.
They figure there is no shortage of vacuums in the world.
"Everyone around town has a vacuum," Fields said.
He said they grew up working on vacuums in their uncle's shop in San Diego. Then, as today, they found it challenging, interesting work.
"We know how to fix them and work on them," Fields said. "I enjoy doing that."
Complete repair services run $24.95 and up, and tune ups - which include cleaning, checking the bag, belt and filters, are $14.95
Fields and Adams carry Dyson, Bissell, Eureka, Hoover and other brands. They will give free estimates.
To celebrate the opening of the new store, an open house is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
There will be free hamburgers, hot dogs and soda, and a drawing for a new vacuum.
Hours are 9-6 Monday through Friday, and 10-5 Saturday.
