Drabek shuts down red-hot Tigers

Kyle Drabek pitched seven strong innings as the visiting Toronto Blue Jays snapped Detroit's seven-game winning streak with a 4-2 victory Monday night.
Drabek allowed only one run despite walking six, and gave up three hits and struck out two. Frank Francisco pitched the ninth for his fourth save, but allowed a solo homer to Jhonny Peralta.
Tigers starter Max Scherzer remained at 6-0 after pitching seven innings and allowing a run in a no-decision. Toronto won the game with three runs off Joaquin Benoit in the eighth.
Rangers 4, White Sox 0: Colby Lewis pitched a five-hitter for his first career shutout to lead Texas at Chicago.
Endy Chavez added three hits and scored three times for the Rangers, who have won four of their last five games.
Red Sox 8, Orioles 7: Adrian Gonzalez smacked a two-run double off the left-field wall with one out in the ninth to lift host Boston over Baltimore.
Rays 6, Yankees 5: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Sam Fuld and B.J. Upton hit two-run homers to help Tampa Bay hand New York its sixth consecutive loss.
Indians 19, Royals 1: Michael Brantley's three-run homer and keyed a 10-run fourth that sent visiting Cleveland over Kansas City.
Los Angeles at Oakland, late: The game between the Angels and Athletics was delayed by rain for 1 hour, 27 minutes, and was in the eighth inning at press time.

Cardinals 3, Phillies 1: Jake Westbrook allowed one run in seven innings and host St. Louis snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Philadelphia.
Braves 3, Astros 2: Eric Hinske had three hits and host Atlanta edged Houston.
Reds 7, Cubs 4: Jonny Gomes hit his first homer in nearly a month, helping host Cincinnati beat Chicago.
Nationals 4, Pirates 2: Danny Espinosa hit a two-run homer in the seventh and host Washington extended Pittsburgh's losing streak to a season-worst seven games.
Marlins 2, Mets 1: Florida reliever Burke Badenhop got his second career hit with two outs in the 11th, driving in Mike Stanton with the go-ahead run and visiting Florida beat New York.
Rockies 7, Giants 4: At Denver, Carlos Gonzalez capped a five-run sixth with a three-run homer off Tim Lincecum in Colorado's win over San Francisco.
Padres 8, Diamondbacks 4: At Phoenix, Ryan Ludwick homered and drove in three runs, Clayton Richard pitched into the sixth to end a four-game losing streak and San Diego beat Arizona.
Brewers 2, Dodgers 1: Rickie Weeks singled home the go-ahead run to lead visiting Milwaukee over Los Angeles.
