Cabela's, in partnership with Outdoor Channel and "Wanna Go Fishing?" TV, released today the list of participating waters in its "Wanna Go Fishing for Millions?" promotion, an event the company hopes will encourage even more people to enjoy the great outdoors.

Through July 14, registered anglers can fish certain waters in 19 states for a chance to win up to $2.2 million as well as other prizes by catching one of nearly 1,000 fish that have been caught, tagged and released.

In Idaho, those waters include Lake Coeur d'Alene, C.J. Strike Reservoir and Lucky Peak Reservoir.

Cabela's and its promotion partner Keep America Fishing expect the event to give many people a good excuse to spend time on waters across the country. Per the mission of Keep America Fishing, both groups hope an increase in anglers will result in more attention being paid to conservation matters like promoting clean water and restoring fish populations.

But in order to qualify for the winnings, participants must pre-register online. And to be eligible for the maximum payout - more than doubling the value of the million-dollar fish - anglers must use gear from contest sponsors including an Abu Garcia reel spooled with Berkley line, Costa sunglasses and Sperry Top-Sider shoes.
