PULLMAN - They may have lost the district title to the Ephrata Lady Tigers, but Othello's Lady Huskies got even when it counts even more.
Othello's Delaney Towle, Katelyn Andrews and Paulie Garza all shot 2A state tournament qualifying scores for the Lady Huskies and those performances helped pace a 148.5 team score that was good enough to win the 2A regional title at Palouse Ridge.
Ephrata finished eighth with 55 points as Allie Duff (106) and Kelsey Sage (106) each advanced to state as they finished tied for 12th.
Towle ended up with a 90 to take second overall while Andrews' 97 (tie-third) and Garza's 101 (tie-sixth) finished off a strong run by Othello following their second place district result in Ephrata last week.
Kylie Kummer shot a 112 and Mikayla Parris 114 for Othello.
Quincy's Karisa Arizmendi shot a 114 to be her team's top scorer.
