The Spencer Report
Special to Herald | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 13 years, 11 months AGO
Life has been busy lately, sorry for the late report. In April I went through Hunter's safety course with my sister, Skylar. We did really good. I got 100 percent on my written test. We had a great time shooting at the gun range in Ephrata to end our Hunter's class. Now I have my certificate that says I can hunt.
This weekend we go to Wilson Creek for the Youth Outdoors Unlimited BBQ. I will get to meet the farmer who is letting me hunt on his land this fall.
Cindy is making a large deer target for me to practice shooting with Mr. Kimball, the farmer helping us. I hope everyone will try to make it to Wilson Creek for our BBQ at 1 p.m.
Last week I went to the Eagles with my mom, Cindy and Joe Carpenter and Don Sell. The Eagles donated money to the Y.O.U. and I got to hold one of those really big checks, that was awesome. Thank you Eagles for helping us out.
Cindy says we now have two other kids signed up for hunting trips. I get to meet both of them this weekend in Wilson Creek.
My baseball team is doing really good. We are 10-0. Go Mariners! We only have about three games left, it has been a great season and I have had a lot of fun.
Sincerely, Spencer
