Lakers split on 2nd day of Canadian Days Tournament

The Kalispell Lakers' seven-game win streak came to an end after Edmonton put together a big third inning in the nightcap of the second day of the Canadian Days American Legion baseball tournament at Griffin Field on Saturday.
Michael O'Connell had two doubles and a triple and Cody Dopps hit a homer but the Lakers (11-4) couldn't rally back against the Cardinals, falling 12-9 in five innings due to tournament time stoppage.
Sean O'Connell had a homer and three RBI and Dominic Eickert added three RBI in the Lakers' 15-8 win over Trail in five innings.
Kendrick Lee and Michael O'Connell added two RBI apiece in the win.
The Lakers conclude tournament action today at 3 p.m. against Calgary.
