Parents cause a stir at hospital

Kalispell Police Department officers responded to Kalispell Regional Medical Center at 11:33 a.m. Saturday after the intensive care unit was put on lockdown. The parents of a child in the unit were being abusive, the caller said. The child's father was told not to come back.

A dog chased a man down Ashley Drive at 8 p.m. Saturday and bit the man's left leg.

A 24-year-old man got his head "smashed" during a fight in a parking lot on U.S. 93 South at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Someone came to the police station lobby at 10:38 a.m. Sunday to report that he/she was assaulted at church and did not know the suspect's name.

A man reported that he was assaulted by his ex-girlfriend on Woodland Park Drive at 12:27 p.m. Sunday.

A vehicle's tires were slashed on North Main Street at 1:24 p.m. Sunday.

A juvenile female was cited for theft on U.S. 93 North and released to her parents at 2:11 p.m. Saturday.

An orange and gray BMX bicycle was stolen from First Avenue East.

Police responded to Woodland Park at 3:49 p.m. Saturday after a woman said her dogs were attacked by pit bulls. Parties were counseled.

A barbecue was stolen by someone in a blue pickup on U.S. 93 North at 5:03 p.m. Saturday.

Two male juveniles were held and then released to the custody of their parents after they were picked up for shoplifting on First Avenue East North at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies issued a ticket after a vicious animal was reported on Kelley Road in Columbia Falls at 5:46 p.m. Saturday.

A vehicle was reported stolen at 3:03 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish.

Lake County Sheriff's deputies arrested a woman on North Couture Loop in Arlee at 5:39 p.m. Saturday after she was allegedly holding another woman's 12-year-old son ransom for pills.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on various warrants after he was attempting to sell a camera and power tools in a grocery store parking lot in Ronan at 6:04 p.m. Saturday.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence at Fourth Avenue East and Eighth Street in Polson at 12:39 a.m. Saturday.

Officers from the Whitefish Police Department responded to a report of trespassing on Lupfer Avenue at 9:38 p.m. Saturday.
