CALDWELL (AP) - A Caldwell woman has pleaded guilty to felony injury to a child after prosecutors said she molested a 14-year-old girl in 2006.

Simona Manzanares, 32, entered the guilty plea in 4th District Court on Monday. In exchange, prosecutors dropped charges of lewd conduct of a child, sexual abuse of a child and sexual battery of a minor.

Prosecutors filed the charges after the Department of Health and Welfare reported in 2009 that a girl disclosed she had been molested by Manzanares.

According to court records, Caldwell police said they interviewed another girl and two boys who reported sexual contact with Manzanares.

Manzanares gained notoriety in 2008 when she became the first person sentenced under Idaho's gang recruiting law. She has appealed that conviction to the Idaho Supreme Court.
