SPOKANE - Two Moses Lake Chiefs travelled to Spokane's Creek Qualchan Golf Course for the Class 4A state finals which began yesterday.

After 18 holes, senior Randy McNair finds himself in the thick of things with one round to go while his teammate for four years, Gabe Porter, will not participate in today's second round.

McNair shot a 75, good enough for a tie for 11th place and finds himself five strokes off the lead. Olympia's Dom Francks leads with a round of 70.

Porter finished his day with a 95 and missed the cut which was set at 86.
