Three Columbia Basin girls advance in 2A

SPANAWAY - Lake Spanaway Golf Course presented its challenges but three Columbia Basin girls advanced to tomorrow's second round of action at the Class 2A state finals.

Othello's Paulie Garza and Delaney Towle both made the cut with scores of 87 and 89 respectively. Garza is tied for 16th place while Towle stands in 21st, with Cherokee Kim of Steilacoom and Paige Whidbee of Pullman leading the way with a first round of 72.

Ephrata's Kelsey Sage shot a 90 to tie for 23rd place and stay alive for one more round tomorrow.

Othello's Katelyn Andrews (96) and Ephrata's Allie Duff (96) both missed the cut by one stroke.
