COEUR d'ALENE - Two more members of the NJCAA champion North Idaho College women's basketball team have committed to four-year schools, Cardinal coach Chris Carlson announced.
Reserve guard Chantel Divilbiss has signed with Northwest University in Kirkland, Wash., and reserve post Deanna Dotts, the former Coeur d'Alene High standout, has decided to play for Lethbridge University in Lethbridge, Alberta
This makes a total of seven NIC women's basketball players committed to four-year institutions next year.
Amy Warbrick and Timena Shebala have offers on the table and are expected to make their decisions soon, Carlson said. Warbrick has been offered by Montana Northern and she visited with Lakeland College in Alberta where teammate Amanda Carlton has signed. Shebala has high interest from William Jessup University in Rocklin, Calif., and Evergreen College in Olympia, Wash.
Former NIC guard Natalie Nichols (2007-09) will join Dotts at Lethbridge as she decided to come out of "retirement," Carlson said.
Others from NIC who have previously committed are Kama Griffitts (Arizona), Tugce Canitez (DePaul), Camille Reynolds (South Alabama), Kiki Edwards-Teasley (Oregon State) and Carlton.
