Jason Jaeger, director of sales and marketing for The Coeur d'Alene Resort, has been named vice chair of the Idaho Travel Council.
Jaeger has served since 2007 on the eight-member advisory board, where he was appointed by the governor to represent the tourism industry in Idaho's five northern counties.
"I look forward to working with our chair, Frances Conklin, and the rest of the council, along with our tourism partners, to continue to develop programs that increase tourism in our great state of Idaho and put heads on pillows," Jaeger said.
Statewide, lodging receipts for 2011 have already rebounded by 6.59 percent from the same fiscal period in 2010, he noted.
In 2012, Jaeger will be named ITC council chair, in conjunction with the group's 25th annual Conference on Tourism to be held at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
Jaeger returned to work at The Coeur d'Alene Resort as sales manager in 1999, and became director of sales and marketing in 2003. He also serves on the Coeur d'Alene Convention and Visitor's Bureau board.
