McEUEN: Support three champions
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 13 years, 2 months AGO
It's time for the voters of Coeur d'Alene to have a voice in the City Council elections on Nov. 8.
At the last public meeting on the McEuen Field issue, the City Council, in a public recorded vote, voted 5 to 1 with their yes vote to move forward on the $30,000,000 plus project, after we, the public, gave our opinions, that were recorded, for the city record, asking not to proceed with this project until an advisory vote was taken .
At that meeting, Kennedy, Woody and John Bruning said before they voted yes, that it wouldn't make any difference if they were defeated in the next election because of their stand on this issue.
A lot of concerned citizens of Coeur d'Alene attended all three meetings where the McEuen Field project was presented to the public.
At those meetings a majority of the people who came, shared their opinions that they wanted a public advisory vote to be held, before the City Council voted on their final decision to go forward.
It's now time to elect Steve Adams, Dan Gookin and re-elect Councilman Ron Edinger to the City Council.
We, the taxpayers, need council members who will listen to their constituents opinions down at City Hall.
