LifeNexus Personal Health Card to be used
Northwest Specialty Hospital and LifeNexus, Inc., the developer of the iChipTM and Personal Health Card, announced that Northwest Specialty Hospital will begin using the LifeNexus Personal Health Card.
The Personal Health Card will expedite the hospital's admissions process and securely exchange private healthcare information with the hospital's medical staff. The Personal Health Card will enable consumers to carry their health records in their wallet, use it as easily as a credit or debit card, and with the payment card option, will allow for payment of services and co-payments.
"Northwest Specialty Hospital is proud to be part of launching this cutting-edge technology that will improve care, decrease costs and provide a better hospital experience for the patient" said Vaughn Ward, Chief Executive Officer at Northwest Specialty Hospital.
Soap for Hope campaign gets under way
AAA's fourth annual Soap for Hope campaign collects unused and unopened toiletry items and distributes them to persons in need via local shelters, food banks and other charitable organizations.
Donations may be dropped off through the end of the year. Donations made at AAA Coeur d'Alene, 296 West Sunset Ave. They will stay in the community and benefit several local charities.
New, full- and sample-size toiletry items, such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste and deodorant will be accepted Monday-Friday from 9-6:30 p.m.
"I'm really proud to be a part of such an incredible community," said Maryann Harlow, manager of AAA's offices in Spokane Valley and Coeur d'Alene.
