Chiefs fill up net vs. Everett

SPOKANE - Mike Aviani scored two goals and added an assist and the Spokane Chiefs rode a five-goal third period to a 8-1 win over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League play before 4,151 at the Spokane Arena on Sunday night.

Carter Proft, Mitch Holmberg, Jarid Hauptman, Anthony Bardaro, Dominik Uher and Tyler King all found the net for Spokane. Bardaro added two assists.

Luke Lee-Knight stopped 14 of 15 shots for Spokane, now 9-4-0-1, 18 points, five points behind both Portland and division-leading Tri-City, which beat the Chiefs 4-1 on Saturday night.

Spokane in back in action on Friday in Portland against the Winterhawks.
