Mattawa Chamber to meet Wednesday
STAFF REPORT | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 14 years, 1 month AGO
MATTAWA - The Mattawa Area Multicultural Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a general meeting for Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the offices of the Port of Matawa.
The meeting, scheduled by acting secretary Kassandra "Sandi" Watkins, will be held at 1 p.m.
The key business items planned are a review of the group's by-laws and the election of new officers. The group does not have a president, vice president or secretary, and the treasurer is planning to resign.
The MAMCC has not had an official meeting in a couple of months. Membership has dwindled to a handful of persons. Some of the remaining members have said they wonder if it will survive.
Treasurer Juan Sandoval, the only known officer, said last week he plans to attend. His attendance means there can be a formal meeting.
However, Sandoval said he plans to resign at the same meeting.
