More burglaries reported

COEUR d'ALENE - A rash of burglaries is continuing in Coeur d'Alene - and the burglars appear to be becoming more brazen.
A man told police that on Tuesday, he was home alone about 4:15 p.m. watching a movie in the bedroom. When he came out, he saw the back door was open. Another man came from the kitchen area, pushed him down from behind, and ran out the door.
The victim was not hurt. He said nothing was missing, and the suspect entered through the unlocked back door.
He described the suspect as a white male, about 25 years old, short hair, and was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
A resident in the 2600 block of W. Renoir Drive told police that someone broke into his home between Friday and Sunday by kicking in the front door. The victim told police "they took only small things they could carry."
A diamond wedding ring, two laptops, an iPhone, an 1884 silver dollar, a diamond wedding ring, savings bonds, and DVDs were taken. The items were valued at $3,500.
A resident in the 2800 block of Julia Street reported that someone pried the door open and entered her home during the day Monday.
She said nothing was missing, but her apartment was "in disarray."
Police urge residents to be vigilant, monitor their neighborhoods and locks doors and windows.
