Irene McMinimy passed away Nov. 10, 2011, in Post Falls. She was born Dec. 4, 1931, to Lyman and Alvina (Neimann) in Clarkston, Wash.

Irene belonged to the Carnation Rebekah Lodge, Royal Neighbor Lodge, Rose Rebekah Lodge, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Patriot Militant.

She is survived by son Donald M. McMinimy of Post Falls; grandson Colby R. (Megan) McMinimy of Post Falls; granddaughter Danielle Leetch of St. Maries; granddaughter Misty Epperson (Ryan); great-grandchildren Jordan, Mikayla and Mikiah; daughter Debra J. Nickerson of Post Falls; grandson Chad (Ty) Nickerson of Kingston; great-grandchildren Tanner L., Hailey R.; granddaughter Stacy (Cole) Dechand of Kingston; great-grandchild Kelsie J.; sister Myrn Sosebee of Nevada and brother Ted Fredekind of Post Falls.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. McMinimy; sister Phyllis Gharst; brother's Dennis Watrus and Barney Fredekind; father Lyman Watrus; mother Alvina (Neimann) Fredekind and sister Florence Mead.
