Holiday parade looking for entries
Coeur d'Alene's annual downtown holiday parade is looking for a few more entries.
"We have about 20 entries signed up, and we'd love to have at least 30 for the big night," said Gay Glasson, events coordinator for the Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association.
The deadline to sign up is Nov. 18 - although late entries are often considered. Entry fees are $50 for a non-commercial entry and $75 for commercial. This year's theme is "Christmas through a child's eyes."
The 20th annual Holiday Light Show Lighting Ceremony parade starts at 5 p.m. at the corner of 8th and Sherman, then moves west on Sherman Avenue to Government Way and Sherman.
Food vendors sell kettle corn, cookies, hot chocolate and coffee. Parade entries begin lining up about 4 p.m., from 8th street and Sherman Avenue to 12th Street.
