Maridel Cavanah, born Maridel Lively on Nov. 6, 1942, in Everett Wash., to Melvan Lively and Joyce McKenzie, passed on to be with our Lord just before 10 a.m. Oct. 14, 2011, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene after a long battle with cancer.
Maridel was married to Leslie Cavanah on Sept. 24, 1962, after a three-month Whirlwind romance in Vallejo, Calif. And had 49 wonderful years with him.
They lived for 30 years of this in Benicia, Calif., and a few years in Napa, Calif., moving to Coeur d'Alene in the year 2000 after Leslie retired. This was a place that she had wanted to live as it was where we had spent many vacations.
Maridel was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather and brother.
She is survived by her husband, two children, three grandsons, two half brothers, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and two aunts.

Memorial service is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov 19, 2011, at the Coeur d'Alene Church of the Nazarene, 4000 N. Fourth St., Coeur d'Alene, with the Reverend Ron Hunter presiding.
Interment to be at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens in Coeur d'Alene.
