The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is

requesting public help to identify suspects in relation to crimes

committed in the Woods Bay area on Oct. 16 and 21.

Early Sunday morning, Oct. 16, nearby

residents of Papa’s Market awoke to the business’ alarm. A deputy

arrived to find forced entry of the rear store door and after

finding nothing missing, derived that the would-be intruder was

dissuaded by the alarm.

A witness reported seeing a man

possibly 6-feet tall and 200 pounds flee the scene and hop into a

white, mid-size truck that fled north.

The following Friday at 3.30 a.m. a 911

call was received from Grandview Drive that there were people

trying to gain access to the woman’s home while she was inside.

The suspects fled before authorities

arrived. They are described as a Caucasian male approximately 30

years old, 5 foot 9 inches and balding with a female accomplice

described as having a slim build.

The couple was able to gain access to

the garage and steal a chainsaw and gasoline. With the loot they

scrambled into what the witness described as an ill-running and

muffler-less older pickup.

Information regarding these two crimes

can be submitted to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at 883-7301,

Crimestoppers at 883-7309 or Deputy Ben Woods at 249-3007. Tips

resulting in the identification and prosecution of a suspect may be

eligible for Crimestoppers reward money and callers may remain

anonymous.
