RATHDRUM - Former Lakeland School District Superintendent Bob Jones received the Idaho School Boards Association's Citizenship Award during the group's recent annual conference at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

Jones was nominated by current Superintendent Mary Ann Ranells due to his continued work for the Rathdrum community and school district.

"He is the backbone of the spirit of commitment and dedication above self," Ranells wrote on the nomination form. "Through his work as an officer for the chamber of commerce, president of the Lakeland Education Foundation and a variety of charities, Bob models the moral excellence we should all strive to attain."
